One scoop. Every morning. Empty stomach.
Morning, before anything else
One scoop, two grams, in 8 to 12 oz of water first thing. The convention is an empty stomach, on the reasoning that fewer digestive enzymes are working means more of the protein arrives intact. If mornings do not fit your day, between meals is fine, and post-training works too. Daily matters more than exactly when.
Water first, powder second
There is no flow agent in this jar. That is the trade you make for an other ingredients line that reads none, and it means this mixes slower than a flavored powder does. Use a shaker rather than a spoon, put the water in first and the powder in second, and give it about ten seconds longer than you think it needs.
Start with half a scoop
Colostrum comes from cows, which means it contains milk and it contains lactose. If you have a milk allergy, this one is not for you. If you are meaningfully lactose intolerant, start with half a scoop and see how you do before going to a full one. Two grams is a small amount of dairy, but it is still dairy.
Two grams. 800 mg of IgG. Nothing else.
Two grams of first milking bovine colostrum standardized to 40 percent immunoglobulins, which works out to 800 mg of IgG per scoop. No flavoring, no sweetener, no anti-caking agent, no carrier. Every amount printed on the label.
Immunoglobulins
800 mg IgG per scoop · 40% Standardization
Immunoglobulins are antibodies, and IgG is by far the most abundant one in bovine colostrum. It is what a newborn calf receives in its first hours of life and it is the single compound this entire category gets measured on. Eight hundred milligrams per scoop here, from a 40 percent standardization rather than the 15 to 25 percent that is more common on the shelf.
Growth Factors & Bioactives
Lactoferrin · Proline-Rich Polypeptides · Naturally Occurring
Colostrum is not one compound, it is a whole matrix. Alongside the immunoglobulins there is lactoferrin, an iron-binding protein, proline-rich polypeptides, and naturally occurring growth factors. None of these appear in the ingredient list because none of them were added. They are simply what is present in first milking colostrum, preserved rather than processed out.
The First Milking
Hours After Calving · Highest Concentration · Single Source
A cow produces colostrum once, in the hours right after calving, and it is at its richest in the very first milking. Immunoglobulin content falls off quickly after that, and within a couple of days it is simply milk. First milking is the narrowest window there is to source from, and it is the starting material a 40 percent standardization begins with.
Nothing was added because nothing was missing.
Eight hundred milligrams of IgG
Colostrum is sold by the gram, which tells you almost nothing on its own. What matters is how much of that gram is actually immunoglobulins. Most of the category sits somewhere between 15 and 25 percent, and a fair number of labels never print the figure at all.
Ours is 40 percent. Two grams at 40 percent is 800 mg of IgG per scoop, and that is the number worth holding up against anything else on the shelf. First milking, standardized, tested. Then nothing else. No flavoring to cover it, no carrier to bulk it, no flow agent to make the scoop behave.
